I do agree that there is a lot of what we see around masculinity that is modern, but it is drawing from a rose-tinted view of the past where men led and women followed and everyone was happier. This is provably not an accurate view of history but it is one that men are being sold.
I do agree, that God should be in control given my own faith, but what that looks like needs fleshing out some.
I don’t think people realise that this is a actually a modern movement.
